Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sake
  • 2 tablespoons mirin
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 teaspoon grated garlic
  • Bamboo skewers, soaked in water

Instructions:

In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sake, mirin, sugar, grated ginger, and grated garlic to make the marinade

Thread the pork belly cubes onto the soaked bamboo skewers, leaving a little space between each piece

Place the pork belly skewers in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are well coated

Marinate for at least 30 minutes, or refrigerate overnight for best results

Preheat your grill or broiler to medium-high heat
