These Hot Fudge Root Beer Float Cupcakes are a delightful twist on a classic dessert. The root beer-infused chocolate cupcakes are topped with hot fudge sauce and a generous dollop of whipped cream, making them a treat for both kids and adults. The maraschino cherry on top adds a fun and colorful finishing touch

Ingredients:

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup root beer
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup hot fudge sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Maraschino cherries for garnish

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 350F 175C and line a cupcake pan with cupcake liners

In a mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, root beer, vegetable oil, and eggs

Mix until well combined

Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake liners, filling each about 2/3 full

Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a cupcake comes out clean

Allow the cupcakes to cool completely on a wire rack

While the cupcakes are cooling, prepare the hot fudge sauce

Heat the hot fudge sauce in the microwave or on the stove until its warm and pourable

In another bowl, whip the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract together until stiff peaks form

Once the cupcakes are cool, drizzle each with a generous spoonful of hot fudge sauce

Pipe or spread the whipped cream on top of the hot fudge sauce

Garnish each cupcake with a maraschino cherry
