Ingredients:
- 2 and 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 375F 190C
In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda
Set aside
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, light brown sugar, salt, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy
Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition
Gradually add the dry flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined
Stir in the chocolate chips
Drop large spoonfuls of dough onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart
Bake in the preheated oven for 9-11 minutes, or until the edges are golden but the centers are still slightly soft
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely
